The blackbird sings to welcome the night.The day slows and soon all are asleep.All except one who cannot sleep.A child, curious to know who looks after the night.And so begins a magical journey through the dark and beautiful night until the black bird sings again to welcome a new day.Scotland and Denmark’s finest artists making work for children are joining forces to create a new theatre performance for kids.  Night Light is a little theatrical poem, set within installations, about darkness and children’s relationship with light.  

Night Light is co-produced with Red Bridge Arts & Imaginate, commissioned through the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund, supported by the Municipality of Aarhus and The Danish Arts Foundation.
