Bamboozle adapts Michael Morpurgos enchanting story, Gentle Giant, into an immersive, multi-sensory experience for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Set in the Scottish fishing village of Ballyloch, Gentle Giant tells the tale of a man – a giant of a man - who lives on an island in a beautiful lake. Turned away by the local villagers because he looks different, the giant leads a lonely life on his island. Then one day, he rescues a girl from drowning, a girl in a wide-brimmed straw hat. After saving her life, the giant saves the lake from disaster. The girl and the villagers see the giant’s true nature, and the error of their ways. We join them in a celebration of new-found friendship and community.
